Happy Birthday! Advanced Materials Interfaces Turns Five

by | Jan 30, 2019

Happy 5th birthday to Advanced Materials Interfaces!

For Advanced Materials Interfaces, 2018 was a tremendous year: the journal’s impact factor further increased from 4.279 (Journal Citation Reports 2017) to 4.834, confirming growing readership and citation; submissions continued to grow fast; and despite the rejection rate growing, the number of published articles increased to 450.

Front cover of volume 5, issue 22.

Advanced Materials Interfaces has successfully launched a Hall of Fame (HoF) series of invite-only review articles from top scientists in the field of interfaces. A contribution from this HoF series was published in each issue in 2018, with a number of these HoF review articles among the top-cited articles in 2018. The HoF articles are collected into a special virtual issue and highlighted on Advanced Science News.

Looking forward, 2019 will be an exciting year for Advanced Materials Interfaces: in February, the journal will turn five; the new impact factor will be announced in June; some great Special Issues are planned; and much more! We look forward to sharing more exciting interface-related research with you in 2019.

An important part of the journal is represented by the Editorial Advisory Board and we are very grateful to all our Board Members. We have further strengthened the international board with the addition of the following new members: Prof. Jennifer Rupp (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA), Prof. Sander Leeuwenburgh (Radboud University Nijmegen, NL), and Prof. Hailin Peng (Peking University, Beijing, China). The current list of Editorial Advisory Board Members of Advanced Materials Interfaces can be found here.

We are looking forward to seeing your new and exciting research in Advanced Materials Interfaces in the coming year! Please submit your manuscripts and your eye-catching cover suggestions today, and stay tuned with the newest content here.
