Guidelines for article submissions

Authorship

• We don’t accept AI-generated submissions at this time.
• Freelancers should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field or significant experience in a relevant industry (education and/or experience in science communication or journalism is a plus).
• Authors must be willing to collaborate with ASN staff throughout the editorial process.

Articles

• At this time, pitches based on scientific articles should focus on works published by Wiley.
• All pitches/submissions should be of general interest and accessible to a broad audience.
• We expect all articles to be fully fact-checked, and to contain insights and quotes from the authors of the original scientific paper on which your article is based, and/or relevant third-party experts.
• If you’re a new author to our platform, kindly share samples of your published science communication works to help us evaluate your style (please don’t include manuscripts or technical works). Applicants may submit unpublished writing samples if they do not have a portfolio.
