by | Nov 30, 2016

The October issue of Macromolecular Symposia is dedicated to the 13th Brazilian Polymer Conference.

Tmasy201670036-blkfxd-0001-mhe success story of publishing contributions from the Brazilian Polymer Conferences (CBPol) started in January 2011. CBPol is organized every two years by the Brazilian Polymer Association and currently constitutes the biggest and most important scientific event in the polymer field in Brazil. It is a scientific and technical forum for the discussion of matters related to polymer production and applications, with the strong support of the Brazilian and Latin American scientific and technical communities.

Since 2011, Macromolecular Symposia has published a selection of the best contributions presented at the conference, which are developed into full length articles for the volume. Prof. José Carlos Pinto from the University of Rio de Janeiro is involved from the beginning, and is responsible for the peer-reviewing and acceptance process.

The October issue is dedicated to the 13th CBPol. From 1004 papers co-authored by researchers from at least 20 different countries presented during the conference, a number of proceedings were submitted for peer-reviewing, and from them 38 manuscripts were accepted for publication. The selected contributions illustrate some of the scientific discussions that took place during the conference and the topics that motivate researchers working in the polymer field in Brazil.
