This year, the “Materials Science and Engineering – MSE2012-Congress” will open its gates in Darmstadt, Germany from September 25-27. As usual, it will offer a wealth of topics in the areas:
- Functional Materials
- Structural Materials
- Modelling and Simulation
These areas are substructured into 50 symposia that are subject to a comprehensive ‘Call for Abstracts’. The organisers invite authors to submit an abstract for lectures or posters relating to the conference topics. Especially young scientists are very welcome to actively contribute to the conference. It is a good opportunity for students and junior scientists to report on their latest results. Deadline for the submission of abstracts is 17 of February 2012.
The scope of the MSE Conference is to build a forum on which the multilateral parties can meet to exchange ideas and to organise societal activities. The MSE aims to create an atmosphere in which young talents get the opportunity to mix with professors and industries. According to the motto: “Young researchers meet professionals”
A special symposium will highlight collaborative research programs between Australia and Europe and provide a forum to foster new collaborations. Also here, abstracts are welcome from across the full spectrum of materials engineering including fundamental materials sciences, characterization methods and applications of materials technology and will be grouped into specific topic sessions.
Another special symposium will honour Professor Günter Gottstein and his unique contributions to Materials Science. Besides, the MSE2012-Congress will offer a series of technical and non-technical side events referring to research funding, educational programmes, general assemblies.
