Wiley are looking for a Trainee to join their team in Beijing, China.

The Materials Science group of Wiley is offering a Trainee position for the internationally renowned, high-impact journals Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, and Small.  You will gain on-the-job experience in many different aspects of publishing, such as the acquisition and development of journal content (both print and online), peer-review procedures, and contact with authors and referees from all over the world.

Applicants for these positions should have a PhD in chemistry/materials science/physics, be self-motivated, have excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal), be diplomatic, flexible, and familiar with text and graphics computer applications.  The applicants should be fluent in Chinese and have an excellent command of the English language.  International postdoctoral experience and/or previous publishing experience would be advantageous.

The position will be based in Beijing.  The successful candidate will be trained in our Beijing office, but may spend some time at Wiley-VCH in Weinheim, a pleasant small town near Heidelberg in southwest Germany.
