SKZ managing director of further training and education has passed away aged 57.

harald-huberthSKZ is mourning the loss of Harald Huberth, managing director of further training and education, who suddenly passed away on 15th of April at the age of 57.

The name Harald Huberth stands like no other for the development of continuing education at SKZ!

The graduate engineer started his career at SKZ Würzburg in July 1982 as lecturer for training courses in material science thermoplastics, later he became the head of the department further training and education, before he was appointed managing director in 2002.

Due to his numerous international education activities in Africa, China, Iran, Canada, USA, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Kuwait, UAE, Russia and Ukraine Harald Huberth significantly contributed to the international orientation and appreciation of SKZ abroad. The range of training courses on international fairground and the participation at numerous international projects especially due to the tireless personal effort of Harald Huberth has made SKZ to a global player in the field of plastics on the world market.

Harald Huberth was always looking for interesting and new subject areas for continuing education. Numerous contacts to industry and his involvement in committees such as IHK, IKV, RBV, DVS and DVGW were of a great benefit to his work.

SKZ is deeply grateful to Harald Huberth. He placed his creative power without any reservation at the service of the company. With great technical expertise and personal commitment he decisively shaped the international orientation and appreciation of SKZ.

“His sudden death brings for us at SKZ an extremely painful loss. We will always honor his memory. We express our deepest condolences to his wife and his daughter”, said institute director Professor Martin Bastian with great sorrow.
