Advanced Energy Materials on ISI – No Impact Factor yet, but phenomenal Immediacy Index

by | Jul 6, 2012

Advanced Energy Materials scores phenomenal Immediacy Index of 1.950 for 2011, looks to receiving high Impact Factor next year for 2012.

The Advanced family’s progress from strength to strength is evident from this year’s Journal Citation Report release. Materials science flagship Advanced Materials has leapt to new heights with a 2011 Impact Factor of 13.877, an increase of 28%, while Advanced Functional Materials made double digits for the first time at 10.179 (+ 20%).

New sister journal Advanced Energy Materials, launched in January 2011, has taken its first step towards joining the ranks of high-IF journals. With an inaugural Immediacy Index of 1.950, AEnM compares very favourably not just to subject journals, but also to several materials science heavyweights:

Advanced Energy Materials has established itself as a force to be reckoned with next year, when its first Impact Factor (for 2012) will be published by ISI. We are confident that with over 620 citations to its 161 papers of 2011 already accumulated in the first half of this year, Advanced Energy Materials will achieve its first IF in the high single digits with great potential for making double digits in subsequent years.

The enthusiasm with which the community has taken up Advanced Energy Materials is reflected by the quality of the publications –  see for yourself below for some of the most popular articles from 2011:
