Once more the Journal of Applied Polymer Science is number 3 for total number of citations in the polymer science category, reinforcing its prominence in the field. The rise in impact factor for the sixth year in succession (up almost 8% to 1.76) along with the continuous increase in article downloads, reflects its vital importance for researchers in both academia and industry.

Under the consolidated editorial team the subject range covered by the journal has been further expanded, as demonstrated by some of the current most accessed articles, strengthening the journal’s reputation as an ever more valuable resource:

The organic electrochemical transistor for biological applications by R. Owens and co-workers

Polymer-coated nanoparticles for enhanced oil recovery by R. Verduzco and co-workers

The two parts of the Journal of Polymer Science continue to be held in high esteem by the polymer research community, as demonstrated by their 2014 impact factors of 3.11 for Polymer Chemistry and 3.83 for Polymer Physics. The Journal of Polymer Science: Polymer Chemistry continues to be the go-to resource for polymer chemists around the world, with cutting-edge synthesis methods and physical organic chemistry analyses. With the Journal of Polymer Science: Polymer Physics’ scope expanded in 2011 to better align with today’s innovative research in the field, the 2014 impact factor is a clear indication that this new scope continues to resonate well with both authors and readers in the community. Now focusing on topics in the physics of polymers as diverse as electronics, energy, optics, and biopolymers through articles, reviews, and special issues, JPSB truly represents the interests of physicists working with polymers today.
