The 2018 Journal Citation Reports have been released, and the 2017 impact factors (IFs) for selected materials science journals are available here. Read below for a few of the many highlights.
Advanced Materials is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a record-breaking IF of 21.950, reinforcing its position as the first choice for publication of the best materials science research. With an impressive new IF of 21.875, Advanced Energy Materials is rapidly growing as a top forum for the entire energy research community.
Advanced Functional Materials has a new IF of 13.325 (+10%), the highest so far in its history. Advanced Science experienced another significant leap in IF to 12.441 (+37%), asserting its position as a premium open access journal that publishes research in a wide range of disciplines. Small continues to be the best forum for fundamental and applied interdisciplinary research at the nano- and microscale with an increased IF of 9.598.
With an IF of 7.430, Advanced Optical Materials continues to report breakthrough discoveries in photonics. Advanced Healthcare Materials further establishes itself in the competitive field of biomaterials research with an IF of 5.609. Energy Technology has now received an IF of 3.175 and is becoming a home for front-line energy research. Advanced Materials Technologies, which launched in 2016, publishes technology-related materials application research, with a focus on advanced device design, fabrication, and integration, as well as technologies based on novel materials. It received a first half-IF of 4.622.
