ESB 2017 Focusing on Translating Biomaterial Research

by | Aug 30, 2017

The 28th Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials features recent highlights of biomedical materials research with a theme of “translational activities for exploiting research on biomaterials”

Founded in 1976, The European Society for Biomaterials (ESB) has been providing a platform for the exchange of biomaterials-related research findings. The 28th Annual Conference of ESB taking place this year will continue the tradition of covering the recent advances in biomedical materials science with a focus on “translational activities for exploiting research on biomaterials”. With this theme, ESB 2017 will feature cutting-edge research on biomaterials for regenerative medicine, cancer and other diseases as well as biofabrication and biointerfaces, highlighting the requirement of channeling the research efforts towards the transition from bench-to-bedside.

The strong scientific program of ESB 2017 is comprised of plenary and keynote lectures by leading scientists in the field. This is complemented with a significant number of oral presentations, workshops and special sessions such as “Women in Biomaterials Science” and “Young Scientist Forum Workshop”, thereby providing the attendees with numerous opportunities to hear and discuss about recent research developments and network with each other.

ESB 2017 will be taking place at the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre in Greece, September 4-7. For more information, visit http://www.esb2017.org/.
